Centerline Car Rentals salutes the amazing athletes visiting and living on St. Croix who will take part in the prestigious Captain Morgan Ironman 70.3 St. Croix.
The race, which is celebrating its’ 25th Anniversary will be held May 5, 2013. Long considered one of the classic races in the sport, the now “Captain Morgan Ironman 70.3 St. Croix Triathlon” is among a select handful of Ironman 70.3 events that serves as a qualifier for both the Ironman World Championships in Kona, HI and the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Las Vegas, NV.
The Ironman triathlon held here in St. Croix is considered one of the premier destination triathlons in the world. It combines the beauty of the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands with the challenge of an unforgettable course.
The crowning feature of this race is the legendary climb on the bike course which is appropriately named ‘The Beast’. As previous race participants say, once you’ve conquered The Beast, you’ll never look at a hill the same way. But The Beast can be tamed! Just ask 2009 St. Croix champion Timothy “The Pirate” O’Donnell who, along with Ironman World champions Craig Alexander, Mirinda Carfrae and Mike Pigg will be one of the many Ironman champions who will grace this year’s event
Centerline has supported the Captain Morgan Ironman 70.3 St. Croix for more than a decade by providing world-class vehicles to the visiting athletes, Triathlon committee and other visitors here for the event. We wish all Ironman competitors from St. Croix and all over the world the best of luck in the Beauty (the swim), the Beast (the bike) and the Buccaneer (the run).
Swim! Bike! Run!
